The genial flame of charity

In 1876, in the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Washington Irving described the season this way: “It is, indeed, the season of regenerated feeling — the season for kindling, not merely the fire of hospitality in the hall, but the genial flame of charity in the heart.”

For the past ten years I’ve been warmed through this and all the seasons by the generosity of those who support this project known as the FCPA Blog.
