In 1876, in the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Washington Irving described the season this way: “It is, indeed, the season of regenerated feeling — the season for kindling, not merely the fire of hospitality in the hall, but the genial flame of charity in the heart.”
For the past ten years I’ve been warmed through this and all the seasons by the generosity of those who support this project known as the FCPA Blog.
You, the readers, let me know through a steady stream of comments, hints, tips, and ideas, many of which become posts, what needs to be talked about in this space.
Our sponsors provide the dependable financial support that’s needed to keep the FCPA Blog available every day to anyone who wants to read it.
Our guest authors are a choir of brilliant voices who define generosity by sharing their best work right here, again and again.
The editors are a constant source of moral support and practical help, contributing their own posts and encouraging others to do so. The editors also let me know when an i needs dotting or a t needs crossing. (Everyone, after all, needs an editor.)
Thank you — readers, sponsors, guest authors, and editors — for keeping the fire of hospitality burning in the hall and heart of the FCPA Blog.
Merry Christmas.
