There are currently twelve companies based in London with disclosed open FCPA-related investigations and eight companies based in Houston.
In London, six of the companies are from the oil and gas services segment, according to FCPA Tracker.
There are two from the mining sector, two from banking, and one each from tobacco and telecommunications.
Four of the investigations involving London-based companies were first disclosed in 2017.
Four others were first disclosed in 2016, two in 2015, one in 2013 and one in 2012.
Countries mentioned in the disclosures include Italy, Brazil, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Qatar, and Mozambique.
Eight Houston-based companies have disclosed active FCPA-related investigations.
All are from the oil and gas services sector.
Countries mentioned in the disclosures are Brazil and Angola.
Three of the investigations involving Houston-based companies were first disclosed in 2017, three in 2016, and two in 2015.
For comparison, five companies involved in open FCPA-related investigations are based in Germany, five in the Netherlands, and five others in Switzerland, according to FCPA Tracker.
