There are currently six companies based in Canada that have disclosed open and ongoing FCPA-related investigations.
The companies are from the Engineering and Construction, Gaming, Auto Parts, Mining, Manufacturing, and Asset Management industries.
Countries involved in the investigations include Azerbaijan, Libya, Mozambique, Uganda, China and Brazil.
Three companies first disclosed the investigations this year. The other investigations were first disclosed in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Three of the companies said the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, among others, are involved in the investigations.
Four of the companies are issuers under the FCPA (they file periodic reports with the U.S. SEC); two of the companies aren’t issuers but trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange and released company statements about their investigations.

A few words about FCPA Tracker.
