Wang Hanchen, former general manager and deputy party chief of state-owned Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Holdings Group Co Ltd, has been expelled from the party and dismissed from government posts after being found to have taken bribes. Wang previously served as chairman of Shanghai Far East Titanium Equipment Co.

Hainan Baozhiyuan Medical Technology Co Ltd has been backlisted by health authorities for giving kickbacks to doctors in return to boost sales of its medical products. The company was banned for two years from supplying drugs and medical devices to health institutions in Hainan province.

The former party chief of Wuhan Vocational College of Software and Engineering, Huang Fegnkai, is being investigated by prosecutors on suspicions of taking bribes.

Chen Zhuoer, former deputy chief of Lin’gao County in Hainan province, was sentenced to 13 years in jail for taking $407,200 in bribes from companies including Shenzhen Huayou Industrial Development Co Ltd and Lin’gao Yifeng South Sea Fishery Co Ltd. In return, Chen helped the companies obtain fishing projects and government diesel subsidies.

Hu Yinfa, former president of the Liuzhou Chemical Industry Group Co Ltd’s Staff Hospital, was charged with taking $287,290 in kickbacks from an unnamed drug sales agent and Liuzhou city Dake Machinery and Equipment Co Ltd.

Zhou Shaofang, former party chief and vice chairman of state-owned Yunnan Logistics Industry Group Co Ltd, is being investigated for unspecified violations of party discipline.
