Ukrainian police interrupted a televised cabinet meeting Wednesday and marched two officials away in handcuffs for suspected graft.
Police arrested the head of emergency services, Serhiy Bochkovsky, and his deputy Vasiliy Stoyetsky. The arrests were shown on live TV.
The officials allegedly took bribes from fuel suppliers, the AP said.
Police also raided the offices of the emergency services department as part of a broader investigation.
