My message this year is simple:
I am thankful for the principle of forgiveness, without which no human society, large or small, could ever endure.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Thanks to all the honest people who bravely step forward to object to misconduct. It is thankless, essential work. When responsible companies respond well, we never hear about it because the harm is averted. When irresponsible companies retaliate, those brave reporters take it on the chin for all of us.
My everlastingly cheerful husband and new kitty companion. Working for two inspiring mentors in just one year (Dick Cassin of the FCPA Blog and Susannah Hammond at Thomson Reuters-GRC). And sweet potato fries. How good are those?
I am thankful for my wonderful family and my supportive friends and for the many learning opportunities that have come my way. I am particularly thankful for and inspired by my extended family at Transparency International, Dick Cassin and the FCPA Blog family, and all others around the world, who are fighting corruption and contributing to a better future for all of us.
I am thankful, first and foremost, for my family and friends. I am also thankful for the exciting challenges i meet practicing law in France. Each dawn is a new start and each day unfolds in its own unique manner. Finally, I am thankful for being part of the superlative FCPA Blog team and to have the chance to bring my thoughts into such an extensive, influential and purposeful arena.
I am thankful for a loving family, inspirational friends, and wonderful commercials like this.
