Beijing Xinghe City Property Management Co Ltd and Beijing Yizelong Property Management Co Ltd have been fined $16,279 each over bribery charges. The legal representative of the two companies, only identified as Bian, was sentenced to 2 years in jail for offering a property to Cui Aiguo, the former director of Civil Defense Bureau in Beijing’s Fengtai district, in exchange for the use of civil defense facilities. http://epaper.jinghua.cn

Li Daqiu, former vice chairman of the Guangxi provincial Political Consultative Conference, stood trial for taking bribes worth $1.78 million from 17 individuals and entities seeking government projects and job promotions. The alleged bribers include Liu Jinxin, chairman of Shenzhen Jinxinming Industrial Co Ltd and Tan Yuhe, former head of Zhongshan County in Guangxi province. http://politics.people.com.cn

Hainan Zhongtong Real Estate Co Ltd has been fined $3,256 for offering $81,422 in bribes to officials in order to facilitate government approval on real estate projects and reduce taxes. The company’s legal representative, surnamed Lu, received a two-year jail term. http://www.hinews.cn

Sun Weidong, the former deputy manager of PetroChina Yumen Oilfield Company in Gansu province, and the oilfield’s chief accountant Yang Guoling were both expelled from the party for taking bribes. Yang also embezzled public funds and accumulated illegal wealth. They will be transferred to judicial organs for prosecution. http://hlj.sina.com.cn

Lin Zhitie, former head of Ocean and Fisheries Bureau in Wenchang city, Hainan province, received a 10-year jail term for taking bribes totaling $223,286. In exchange for the bribes, Lin issued fishing vessel registration certificates and granted the bureau’s construction projects to bribe-givers. http://news.xinhuanet.com 

The manager of Hohhot Zhengyuan Real Estate Development Co., surnamed Wang, has been arrested for offering bribes to Bai Haiquan, former head of Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone’s Jinchuan Industrial Park. Wang was captured by police while he was trying to flee overseas. Bai is also under corruption investigation. http://www.nmg.xinhuanet.com
