Description

The Global Anti-Corruption team is responsible for the day-to-day management, development, growth and maintenance of American Express’s Global Anti-Corruption Program. The team is responsible for setting enterprise standards for anti-corruption risk areas and advises business units on the implementation of anti-corruption controls across the Company. The team collaborates with other compliance, market and business staff to support the implementation and execution of Anti-Corruption Program requirements in various countries and lines of business around the world.
 
The successful candidate will perform a broad multi-functional role as a member of the Anti-Corruption team, responsible for supporting all aspects of the Anti-Corruption Program in the geographic region (EMEA). You will provide advice to compliance and business colleagues regarding Anti-Corruption requirements in areas such as: due diligence on third parties; incentive programs; and meals, gifts, entertainment or other benefits provided to and/or received from external parties. You will be part of the team responsible for oversight of the Anti-Corruption payments monitoring process, engage in projects to advance the Program, and support management information reporting as needed.
 
Significant experience in a legal or compliance role at a global financial institution, financial regulator, or other large organization, preferably in Anti-Corruption or a related field is required. Knowledge of and experience with Anti-Corruption laws and regulations, including the UK Bribery Act and the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, desirable. You will possess strong analytical and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and partner with multiple stakeholders to drive results.
