DC event will honor Mark Pieth, examine OECD and UN anti-corruption efforts

Mark Pieth, Professor of Criminal Law at Basel University, Chairman of the OECD Working Group on Bribery in International Business TransactionsOn December 4, 2013, The George Washington University Law School will host a tribute to Mark Pieth for his 25 years serving as Chairman of the OECD Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions.  

The program, titled “The International Fight Against Corruption: Are the OECD and UN Conventions Achieving their Objectives?,” will address the evolution and of the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption. 

The panelists, comprised of international anti-corruption experts and stakeholders, will provide a candid assessment of the conventions from a variety of diverse perspectives, including, civil society, government enforcement agencies, the private sector, multilateral development banks, and academia.  The complete program agenda is provided below and you may register for the program here.
