Summary: Navy Cmdr. Michael Vannak Khem Misiewicz was arrested for accepting bribes of prostitutes, cash, luxury hotel rooms, plane tickets, and concert tickets in exchange for tipping off Leonard Glenn Francis, CEO of Glenn Defense Marine Asia Ltd., to the worldwide movement of Navy ships so his company could obtain contracts to service those vessels at port.
Another Glenn Defence executive, Alex Wisidagama, has been charged with defrauding the U.S. government. Since 2011, Glenn Defense Marine has been awarded Navy contracts worth more than $200 million.
NCIS agent John B. Beliveau II was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit bribery after he was found to have fed Francis confidential information about pending criminal investigations into Glenn Defense Marine in exchange for gifts.
