Internship at Transparency International

Anti-corruption NGO Transparency International is looking for an intern at its headquarters in Berlin, Germany for six months starting February 2013.

The job is to help with research, analysis, and admin work in the Knowledge and Stakeholder Services Department.

Salary is €400 per month.

‘The intern will support the production and dissemination of knowledge products,’ TI said, and ‘assist learning initiatives, and perform administrative duties.’

From its base in Berlin, the global NGO works through more than 90 chapters worldwide to ‘raise awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.’

TI is best known for the corruption perceptions index.

The intern should have excellent spoken and written English — Arabic, French, Spanish, or any combination of them is a plus. An advanced university degree in public policy, international law, international studies, development economics, or a related social science field is required, along with research and writing skills, and preferably some editing experience.

Prior anti-corruption work with a think tank or NGO is also a plus, as are knowledge of social media and online platforms.

Apply with a one-page cover letter and maximum two-page CV by email to [email protected].
