When the summer of 2012 passed without the DOJ releasing its promised FCPA guidance, attention turned to October 10 as a likely release — the annual meeting of the OECD Working Group on Bribery. But the guidance didn’t appear.
Now that the election is over, the next big date is Thursday, November 15.
That’s when the two-day National Conference on the FCPA opens in Washington, D.C.
In a post last month, contributing editor Marc Alain Bohn said:
‘[T]he next date one might anticipate the guidance being unveiled is after the election, perhaps at the ACI’s flagship “National Conference on the FCPA” scheduled for November 15-16, 2012 — almost a year to the day after Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer first promised the FCPA Guidance at the same conference in 2011.’
Breuer is the keynote speaker Thursday morning.
